This has been going on for awhile. I couldn't tell you when it actually started. I just picked a date to move on with the registration. All I know its been well over a year and the engine rattles on start up and a small oil leak that drips from bottom of engine when parked. Took it to a mechanic, replaced a part and it still rattles/still has oil leak. Very annoying and very embarrassing when I have passengers in the car. Rattle goes away once driving, engine does have a hum. Already replaced transmission, which I thought was oddly early for a car but it had to be done.
Had the van in many times for other issues to dealer while the car was still in new status. I honestly felt I bought a lemon. Kia service representative was very good at making us feel like all was fine. Once he left and we took the van in for another "problem" we were told that it was probably a lemon and that warranty had expired.. how convenient. I will never again buy another Kia van.
