I have the I-4 2.4L MPI engine that is not part of the recall. Engine failed at 82,000 miles. Dealer says replacement on order but they have no idea how long it will take. It has been three weeks. Thankfully the dealer provided a rental car. This is my 6th KIA/Hyundai vehicle and I have never been disappointed. In fact my first car was an Excel purchased the first year they came to the US and for the Money I thought that it was an excellent vehicle. Until now I thought this was the best vehicle I ever owed. We have had no problems at all. The only service we have had are regular oil changes and brakes (Original brakes lasted 70,000 miles and only needed pads). I certainly hope they do not let me down on the replacement of the motor under the warranty.
