Low beam headlights keep going out. I have directional headlights that when I turn my vehicle on, my lights will turn on (if dark enough out) and they move pointing down and then up. While driving they also do this and go left to right. Well when I first start my car they both work. As soon as lowbeams move straight to down and then to up, on up movement my driver side cuts out. Does not turn back on.

The headlights will stop working intermittently while driving. At times only the driver side headlight will not work, but at other times both will not work. Many times rotating the headlight control on the steering wheel left stem to the off position and then turning the control back to the on position will cause the headlights to illuminate. Other times I must pull to the side of the road, turn off the vehicle, and then turn on the vehicle for the headlights to work. This Is a very dangerous situation as it occurs at night.

Headlights randomly turn off at night while driving. Replaced bulbs already and have noticed many Lexus of this year have the same problem. Have to flick lights off and back on to turn on again.

Headlight goes out...replace bulb....goes put again....will flicker on when I turn the lights on and off but driver side low beam won't stay on...now both low beams will sometimes be out and went put while driving at night....had to pull over and turn switch on and off several times to get the lights to come on....kept doing that...will come on without issues if on high beam.

When I bought the car literally a week later the drivers side head light started flickering and eventually turned off. I have to constantly turn it on and off to have both head lights engage. I can have it park for as little as 5 minutes and the light goes out by itself. I have taken the vehicle to several Toyota dealers and mechanics and they have said that I need to replace the light bulb but it can't be the light bulb because the light turns on so it must be something else. So I bought a new light hid bulb and it keeps turning on and off. So im not understanding. I recently took it to Toyota dealer to get it check out and they told me the same thing light bulb needs to be replace.

My car, Lexus is 350, has a condensation problem inside the headlight housing on both sides. I bought the car approximately a year ago. The problem first occurred to my car about 2 weeks ago. One of the headlights are permanently out. Because of the water, not only the headlight but ballast and the ECU are failed to operate properly. It is a manufacturer defect as even the dealership and the Lexus customer satisfaction center admitted. However, Lexus refused to provide the full service. They offered to provide $1,000 when the total fixing cost will be around $1,500 for one side. I am also aware of the class action that are going on for rx from 2004 - 2009 model. As they are suffering from the same problem, many Lexus owner are having this issue. This is certainly a manufacturer defect but they are refusing to provide the service because my manufacturer warranty has expired. Now, it is obviously dangerous to drive at night due to their mistake. I strongly feel that it is not the matter of factory warranty, but the business ethics and the responsibility of Lexus. Since the water damaged the ECU, cause the problem that there shouldn't have been, they need provide full service for their customer. I am filing my complaint due to achieve the right as a customer, please take a close look at the issue.
