Our 2009 Lexus RX 350 at just over 52,000 miles made a noise and then broke down/turned off in the middle of the road. No check engine light came on or any warnings. There was plenty of oil in the car and we always kept up with maintenance. Now they are saying we need a new engine that will cost over $10,000. This is a great danger of a car and could have resulted in driver's death or serious injury. Even though the mileage was only 52,000 and the standard warranty is through 70,000 miles, unfortunately we were two months past the warranty period running out.
