The driver's seat automatic front-to-back adjustment became abruptly non-functional on the left side, making it impossible to adjust the seat to achieve a safe driving position. This was noted while the car was parked. No accident had occurred and no debris was noted in the track. The dealer (nelson Mazda cool springs) noted that the bolts/nuts were completely broken. Defect seems similar to the defect described with Mazda, 2, 3 and 6 drivers seats recalled in 2017. Consumer stated I wanted to add additional information to my complaint. I have since come upon this link that I believe describes what happened to my seat: Https://Mazda.oemdtc.com/511/front-power-seats-do-not-slide-back-and-forth-2013-2016-Mazda this appears to describe a known manufacturer defect in design that has been eliminated with a new seat base design, that impacts driver safety.

The motor on the driver seat is broken and allows only one side of the seat to move forward and the car doesn't fully turn off when placed in park because of a gear shift issue.

Latch on the driver-side, rear folding seat won't engage. I folded the seat-back forward to create more cargo room. Afterward, when I folded it upright the latch that is supposed to lock it in an upright position would not engage. I tried many times to have it latch and lock, but it would not do so and it just flopped forward. I went on-line and found that other Cx-5 owners have had the same problem. This creates a safety issue for persons riding in the rear seat.
