Transmission Stuck In 3rd Gear

CarComplaints.com Seal Of Pretty Good

CarComplaints.com Notes: Except for a minor issue with cracked motor mounts, the 2007 MAZDA3 is a fantastic vehicle with a great reputation.

If you need to replace the motor mounts, first ask your dealer if they'll cover it -- the motor mounts were dealt with in a TSB & were recalled for some model years. Otherwise buy aftermarket motor mounts -- owners report this solves the problem. If you use the same OEM parts, they may just crack again.

TCM was changed twice, transmission completely rebuilt, TCM wiring was changed and still a loss communication problem on the vehicle, solenoids were re-checked, valve body was removed re-inspected and installed again this time I don't know where to turn, what really amazes me is that even though Mazda3 are known for this issue there are not enough complaints in this page reporting this problem but Forums are everywhere plagued with this situation. Don't let the looks of this vehicle fools you, if you find a great deal on a Mazda, DON'T fall for it or you will get what you pay for!

transmission stuck in 3rd gear, and in safe mode

while driving and increasing speed, car stuck in 3rd gear. with engine light turning on. Had car in garage x2 and replaced 2 solenoids at a cost of $600.00........the problem continues to occur. Reading up on this it appears that the problem is the TCM computer which costs over $600.00 to repair and replace. Part is also hard to get. If this is truely the problem. Am upset that this seems to be a problem with mazdas and the company has not recalled it to fix the issue. I bought another car and it definitely wasn't a mazda. But I would still like to get this problem fixed.I am very disappointed and angry over Mazda not willing to repair this frequently occuring issue and not having enough replacement TCM parts available
