CarComplaints.com Notes: Except for a minor issue with cracked motor mounts, the 2008 MAZDA3 is a fantastic vehicle with a great reputation.

If you need to replace the motor mounts, first ask your dealer if they'll cover it -- the motor mounts were dealt with in a TSB & were recalled for some model years. Otherwise buy aftermarket motor mounts -- owners report this solves the problem. If you use the same OEM parts, they may just crack again.

Back left brake light burned out, that's when I noticed the melted brake light housing. So I checked the right tail light and noticed it was in the same condition.

MAZDA3 S Sport5-door 2.3dohc

Replaced both tail light assemblies June 13 2014 due to the lens melting. These were original parts. Called the Mazda dealer and the service manager said he never heard of the problem before and he owns a Mazda 3 (bullcocka). Searched the web and found this problem mainly with Hatchbacks.

WELL, after replacing both rear brake light housings and bulbs I see today that my driver's side rear brake lens has melted AGAIN!! WTF. Can anybody tell me what/s wrong and how much its gonna cost? I just paid it off and was thinking about buying another Mazda but now I think I'll take my business somewhere else!
