Our 2010 C300 Mercedes developed a fuel leak that was so bad, there was a puddle of gas on the garage floor and the vehicle had to be parked outside due to the possibility of a fire. The problem would only occur when the vehicle was filled with gas. When driving the vehicle a short distance and then parking the vehicle, gas odor was observed and gas was dripping from the bottom of the vehicle. When Mercedes online was notified they had the dealer in Anaheim, CA. contact me by phone. The dealer said that there was "no recall:" and the repairs would be "out of pocket". I then advised Mercedes that I would take the vehicle locally for repairs. When I notified my "Authorized Mercedes Mechanic", he knew of the problem/issue and advised of the repairs needed. The replacement parts "Pump Cap and Seal" were replaced. Yes, I could have done the repairs myself, but due to the circumstances I felt that a "recall" should be issued as it has on other Mercedes vehicles of different models and years also for gas leaks! Now I have documentation by an Authorized Mercedes Mechanic for a possible refund/complaint/lawsuit. Thank you for your time...
