The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the repair. The contact called Mercedes-Benz of beverly hills (9250 beverly blvd, beverly hills, ca, (310) 659-2980) and was informed that the parts were not available. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 2-hx2dgs. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. The VIN was not available.

The contact owns a 2013 Mercedes-Benz C63 amg. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17V627000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated, which was a safety concern. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer (fletcher jones imports, 7300 w sahara ave, las vegas, nv) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy due to being on backorder for the next year and a half. The contact was also informed that the manufacturer overexaggerated the recall and the vehicle was safe to drive. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The failure mileage was 25,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
