The car moans under the slightest acceleration and the noise is amplified by the lack of a trunk.

The dealer claims it is muffler resonance and is normal.

An expensive vehicle like this should not have a loud annoying muffler moan that fills the interior.

Mercedes does not care. Once they have your money...goodbye.

Despite its awful looks, I should have purchased the Lexus RX 350. No more Mercedes.

I too have the same noise in my exhaust system. The noise happened around 1500 rpm. Others who have the same problem.

There is an annoying moaning noise emitted as you accellerate. It is always present. Dealer tried to fix by replacing mid mufflers but the moaning noise is still present. I have tried two other GLE350's to see if my car is the only one with the noise but the other two I drove had the same problem. I did test drive a GLE350 with over 1000 miles and it did not have the noise. Every GLE350 since then has had this annoying noise. The dealer said it is the exhaust system harmonics and should go away but it has not. It is very annoying when your passing askers what the odd noise is.
