Sunroof shattered with a loud bang in Mercedes Benz GLK 350 4MATIC. There was no underpass, no rock. Just clean road and all of sudden a loud bang. I quickly realized that it wasn't one of the windows and when I looked up, I can see the sunroof glass cracking into thousand of pieces. I can hear the noise for next 4-5 minutes, as the glass kept cracking into even smaller pieces. Scared that it was all going to fall on me, I drove slowly to next exit and spent a good hour taping the whole thing from inside. This is a big issue, as if the glass came down I was definitely going to have a brutal crash. I called Mercedes and no sympathy, just we have out it in your file and take it to the dealer. Awful customer service and apparently it happens to other benz models also ! Now I am trying to convince dealer that they should cover this under warranty. What a pain!
