The contact owns a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. The contact stated that there is no air conditioning filter for the air vents in the vehicle. Ford stated that there was no vacuum in the ventilation system in order to filter the air conditioning system. The failure mileage was 46,000 and current mileage was 90,000.

The contact had to replace fuses approximately every three to four days. The dealer said it may be the clock spring, but they would have to perform a diagnostic test to confirm the problem. The diagnostic test has not been performed. The contact reported that the condenser went out at approximately 40,000 miles.
