The contact owns a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis. On at least five occasions, the vehicle has failed to start. During the most recent failure, the vehicle had to be towed to the dealer. The diagnosis was that the vehicle was not being driven long distances and the battery needed to be recharged. The purchase date and powertrain were unknown. The current and failure mileages were 9,152. Updated 02-19-08 the consumer stated was charged $200 and the problem was not corrected. The consumer further stated had to have a remote starter installed in the vehicle and the vehicle runs fine. Updated 02/19/08
