The contact owns a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis. While the vehicle was stationary, the air conditioner fractured and caused the defroster to become inoperative. The contact stated that hot air blew from the defroster and it failed to clear the windshield and side windows. An independent mechanic diagnosed that the mode door actuator underneath the dashboard needed to be replaced. Mike fitzpatrick Ford (238 bullsboro drive, newnan, Georgia 30263) was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 107,000.
