Cooper S Hatch 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 66,661 miles

Brought my Mini 2009 s (66661 Miles) to South Shore Mini, Air bag light came on and was told I have a fault code #93C3 which would cost me $2,441,51. W.T.F. This is a safety hazard. Looked up recalls. Recalls up to 2008? Same airbag (TAKATA) BUT MY 2009 IS NOT IN RECALL LIST? This is my first mini which I bought in February 2016. Always wanted a Mini. What a mistake this was.. Thank you BMW. What do I do now? Can't trade it in now will take a HUGE loss? Does anyone have a suggestion?? Will listen to all options. BUYER BE WARE WHEN THINKING ON BUYING A MINI...

Update from Jan 26, 2017: I brought my Mini to Motor Cars in Bridgwater MA, They did a diagnostic, took out the seat, pulled up the carpet to check for wetness. They said it looked OK. They cleaned all the connections making sure there was no rust. The light went out, they booted the system and the light stayed off. ($99.00) What they said next was that should it come back on a more in depth look will be required. Motor Cars International also said they hope that they won't see me again on this issue. For me this place rocks.

(Mini Cooper/BMW) dealer in Rockland, MA charged me $135.00 for diagnostic and told me $2400.00 to fix not to mention the rest of the worked needed according to the Diagnostic to the sum of $7000.00? I said WHAT? Honestly they said ti dump the car?? Ran and drove great. A ploy to buy new?? My suggestion if you are close enough try Motor Cars International first. It could save you $$$$ By the way they deal in upscale autos, Look them up in the internet. it will save me from typing.. Thanks.
