Eclipse Cross SE With EPB 1.5L 4 cyl Turbo

  • CVT transmission

It's burning smells in Eclipse Cross 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 comes from stuck caliper-brake pad-rotor usually Rear Right side where the Electronic Parking Brake / EPB resides, that apparently got haywire when you accidentally reset the system when you innocently change a new main battery or disconnect the power battery. Somehow got reset this maintenance system into mysterious smells issues inside and outside cabin.

The easier way, whenever you finish driving A to B, try inspecting the 4 brake rotors temperature. Feel the center hub with bare fingers. And you'll be surprised to have driven thousand miles with your EPB stuck, undiagnosed , a mystery..

Hope this resolves your mysterious burning smells issue and do this inspection occasionally in the future, just in case your interval brake pads change. Please notice this uneven wear and tear out of 4 wheels.
