Outlander Sport SE 2.0L

  • CVT transmission
  • 23,000 miles

It has jolting motion from stop to 20 mph and 20 mph to 40 mph, happens inconsistently, dealer asked me to bring in the car so they could put a flight box and tested it, so I did. They tested it and they said they felt the jolting but the flight box never recorded the jolting. They asked me to bring it in again second time and still they were not able to record the jolting.

It also stalls at time when you want to change lane or pass someone in the streets although again not consistent.

The dealer said if they can record it they will change my transmission but so far they have not been able to do it.

Outlander Sport V6

This car was purchased off the lot, less than 7 miles on it. About 1 month after I got the car out on the highway it started this really scary jerking motion like the engine was gonna fall out. I called the dealership they said bring in in for service. They weren't able to find anything wrong I kept telling them something was not right with the car. The same jerking motion continued several more times. Then I got a letter from Mitsubishi saying there was a recall, I took the car to dealer and they did whatever they did and I thought I was ok until the week of 5/13/2016 I would be at stop sign or light and I would get acceleration felt like I was rear ended. I will be contacting the dealership again. By the way they are not helpful at all they waste your time. I will be going back to them for help if I don't get it I will contact my local new station and get Harry Hairston of NBC 10 News to put them on blast.

When pulling out from a stop before the speed comes up to 20mph it feels like your driving over rumble strips. It does not happen all the time, some days it doesn't happen at all, some days it feels like its happening every time. Took it to the dealer and they of course could not duplicate the problem. We leave and get maybe a mile from the dealer and it happens again. They said bring it back if it does it again, but what is the point if its not going to happen when they drive it.
