I've driven a stick for over 40 years, never had a clutch fail in under 100k miles. I believe the clutch was under-engineered for this truck. The dual mass flywheel was burned, and added to the cost.

Complicating matters was the fact that the transmission must be dropped after pulling a good portion of the exhaust in order to leave enough room to pull back the transmission to expose the clutch.

Last two trucks were Toyota - I think the comparison is off to a bad start.

The desk lady, i'll call her Rapala as she is covered in bright transfers and has hooks and spikes pretruding from her person ( Dog mackarel lure for sure ) has the personality of a clucky hen. When i purchase a Nissan and pay alot of money, I expect to be treated as a valued customer not as a person trying to rip off the system. My nissan is under 2 years old it has done 71700 Kl and the clutch has failed. Rapala has accused me of mistreating my car and even suggested that the clutch problem may be because i don't know how to drive properly. I informed her that i have been driving for 40 years and have never burnt out a clutch on any car i have owned. Then she suggested that i may have been towing something to heavy. SSSSShit your selling point for this machine was that it has a 3 ton towing compacity. Then the manager was called out, who went over the same spool as to it was nissan's problem not his. Rapala tells me that i will have to pay for the gear box to be removed ( 3 Hours @ $132.00 Per hour ) just so they can take photo's and send them to nissan to see if the clutch failure is my F----N fault. The manager now steps in and echo's rapala's concerns that i am a 56 year old hoon and should have my wheels impounded ( Fn Idiot ) I now ask how much the whole sh*t show will cost me if Nissan decide that i am at fault. Rapala gives me 2 quotes one with the same clutch that it came with and one with an after market ( heavy duty clutch with warrenty) She then stands there and tells me that the after market clutch is a much better quality clutch at a cheeper price.

So here i am ,i will take my wheels to Rapala in the morning and await Nissan report. I have requested that i be sent a copy of emails or whatever is sent to nissan tomorrow including any verbal exchanges ( Bet that happens !)
