My truck was sitting in a parking lot; doors locked. Came out of work to find my rear window shattered and blown out into the bed of the truck. Called police, informed was not due to criminal mischief. Called dealership to inquire on warranty, was told could possibly be covered under warranty. Once there, maintenance assistant manager informed me that the window had been tampered with and is not covered under Nissan's warranty and to file a claim through my insurance company. Went to safelite for replacement of this said window and was informed to check for a recall for this vehicle as another manufacturer had admitted to having faulty windows installed and windows will shatter for no apparent reason and that he has seen many of my truck model come in for rear window shattering and Nissan uses the same company as the beforehand mentioned manufacturer. The dealership has informed me that they have not seen this sort of issue before. Have to mention that I purchased this vehicle new in November 2013 and is currently 5 months in age. Can't imagine what would have happened if this window had shattered when I was driving.
