Had a 2013 Nissan Juke SV AWD for 1 year 11 months and started hearing a rattling and crackling noise when I drove, then began to lose acceleration like I was running out of gas. Plenty of gas that was not the issue. Made it to a service station, they hooked it up to the diagnostic test and it showed a turbo defect. Kept it parked for about a week and got it into the dealer the following week. Had an extended, fully covered warranty, got rejected because I misplaced my maintenance receipts. Only had 1. Needed to prove I maintained the car to get the warranty claim approved. Fine I get that, my fault. I thought the places I went kept records and recorded it like the dealers do, ofcouse they don't!

Called Nissan Consumer Affairs and submitted a claim. Explained the whole situation and also let them know this was my 3rd Nissan. Previously had a 2007 Murano and a 2010 Maxima, all service records on schedule and up to date! year over year for both cars! of course I went to the dealer for all service and it was recorded. Bought the Nissan Joke at a different dealer Clay Nissan in Norwood, who btw went out of business shortly after I purchased the car. Nissan denied the claim as well with no hesitation, not even an offer to help repair the car.

Total repair costs $8250 and I still owe $15,000 which is more than the car is worth...in good condition! I was a loyal, repeat customer of Nissan and now I'm done and spreading the word! They made a defective car, and will not own up to it! I bought the car with 30k miles, drove 38k and the turbo and engine blew! really?? I know people that drive that much with no oil change! crazy, I know but true and their car is still running. Makes absolutely no sense why a newer model car with low miles would blow an engine!
