I purchased a new car at a Nissan dealership in Istanbul, Turkey in August 2015. After owning the vehicle for a month the check engine light came on at which time I called the dealership and let them know. They said "it's probably nothing important, go ahead and bring it in and we will look at it". When I took the vehicle into the dealership they said the issue was a computer error and that they fixed it. Approximately 20 days after taking the vehicle to the dealership the check engine light came back on, this time I had the vehicle towed to the nearest Nissan service department. This time they said the car had no oil and the engine had burned and would need to be replaced. This was a defect with the vehicle and not an issue resulting from anything I did during my month ownership. I wanted the car replaced but the company would not agree so I compromised and agreed to leave the vehicle to be fixed. At this time I signed an agreement that stated the vehicle would be fixed and returned to me in 30 days. The vehicle is still in service and has been almost for 3 months. I can't get any information on the status or updates unless I call the service. I recently found out that not only have they not begun fixing the vehicle but they have not even received a replacement engine from Nissan to begin working on it. As you can imagine I am frustrated and upset.
