While driving my 2018 Nissan Rogue to work on a sunny Florida morning, I experienced a technical issue with my vehicle around 8:00 am est. While slowing down applying my brakes as I approached a major intersection with traffic, my Rogue suddenly accelerated on its own Accord causing me to crash into a vehicle in front of me. During the acceleration, the vehicle's onboard automated emergency braking system was sounding alarms but did not brake the vehicle. Instead it felt like the vehicle was accelerated instead. A loud grinding sound could be heard at the point of impact with the vehicle in front of me and for about a second or so afterwards. Thankfully the speed was low only resulting in minor body damage to my vehicle and no visible damage to the other vehicle. The end result was I sustained multiple back injuries - lower and neck regions simultaneously. I suspect this is due to the fact I went from slowing down to sudden acceleration and then finally to full sudden stop. Thankfully, I was the only person in my vehicle. All of this was caught on my dash camera including the sounds. The vehicle was taking to bill ray Nissan in longwood, fl which were unable to pull any diagnostic codes and have not been able to duplicate the issue. When depressing a brake to slow a vehicle down, the vehicle should not accelerate by itself. This is a significant safety issue. I will be glad to submit a copy of the dash camera footage for review.

The automatic emergency brake keeps coming on while driving. I have been on roads where I am the only car and it has happened and most recently on the highway with cars speeding behind me almost hitting me. There are no obstructions or cars in front of me when this is happening.

I bought the vehicle 5 months ago, when I am driving past 40 minutes it will brake for no reason even when nothing is in front of me. I took it to awesome Nissan in brunswick, ga they said they fixed the recalls. On my way home on the highway it was doing it again and I spun out but got back in control, and I called them they said to bring it back in when I did they had my car for 5 days and drove it 14 miles and called and said there was nothing wrong with my vehicle. My car will try to stop at any given time and is to dangerous to drive. I called Nissan they will not help me. This is going to be the 3rd time I take it in and this time I have to pay over $1,000 to get it repaired since I can not find anyone who will help me.

Bought this car be with 42 miles on it. About a month after I bought it the aeb system started activating and slamming the brakes when nothing was in front of me. I had never had a car with this feature before. I later got a notice to bring it in to a deal for an update before the warranty went out. The car is now out of warranty and has begun doing the same thing again. I was driving 65 on the interstate with no traffic or obstacles in front of me. The warning system went off then immediately activates the brakes slowing me down to 40 miles an hour. Thankfully the car behind me was able to react in time to swerve and miss me. I got tje one finger salute from the driver of that vehicle. It is now happening more and more frequently. I was told by dealer that since it is out of warranty I would have to pay for another update. I can't afford to pay that right now. Anyway this is a safety issue that should have been corrected when they did the first update on the aeb software. Purchases from benton Nissan in bessemer, al but have had all service performed by Sierra Nissan of sylacauga, al. But I have quit utilizing serra nissa since they put the wrong type of oil in my car and refuses to fix the problem even though they admitted to the mistake also it was printed the servive receipt as proof that they oil they uses was incorrect.

I bought a used, 1 year old, 2018 Nissan Rogue, at a Florida Honda dealership in March of 2019. Since I have owned this vehicle it has slammed on the breaks several times, while driving anywhere from 50-80 mph, for no apparent reason. Just in the last week it has slammed on the breaks 2X for no reason. Luckily no one was close to the back end of my car or they would have hit me. I do not feel safe driving this car. I have read many reports recently that this seems to be a major issue with this car yet Nissan will not do a recall on it. I will own this lemon for 6 years if nothing is done about it.

I was pulling into my garage a few days ago and the emergency brake system engaged. There was absolutely nothing in front of me when this happened. Again today, I was driving down the city road going approximately 25 mph and the car it happened again. The warning flashed, car beeped and just stopped for no reason at all. Nothing in front and thankfully no cars behind me. This is extremely dangerous and scary! thank goodness I was not in an accident due to this issue.

Abrupt automatic unwarranted braking occurred in two incidents while travelling on boulevard. Weather was clear, there were no vehicles in front (and fortunately none behind) when the automatic braking system engaged. Did not bring vehicle to complete stop but the brakes were automatically applied and abrupt slowing down of vehicle occurred. This braking system did work properly in at least two other conditions - ie driving into interior home garage. Unexpected automatic emergency braking while driving with no obvious obstacles (ie vehicles, road debris) is dangerous.

I¿M sharing a rollaway incident w/ a 2018 Nissan Rogue. The car was in park when the event occurred. I've a fuller version of this, if needed. Details: On 12/16/19, I came home around 445pm. It was raining & almost dark. My son was in backseat & I was driving. I parked at the top of my driveway, front 1st. (the driveway is long/sloped, but evens at the top, still slightly angled.) I put the car into park, pressed the parking break (per habit), and, leaving the car completely on, I unlocked my home's door. My son was in the car, listening to a song, as I got the trashcans/mail from the curb. (this all took 5 mins, thus, I know that the car was in park, not neutral or reverse.) I opened the front passenger door & told my son to go in the house. Standing on my driveway, I got my bags & reached across to press the keyless start button. As soon as I did, the car began to roll backwards. The car door pushed me down the driveway. Thankfully, I was able to get leap free, just as the car really picked up speed. It finally crashed into a tree in my neighbor's yard, landing over a drainage ditch B/w our homes. There were only minor injuries. The carseat headrest broke. The visible car damage is on the rear bumper/liftgate and the passenger door. Shaken, I didn¿T think to take photos or call the police. As I awaited a tow truck, I did not access the car: It was over the ditch, in mud and rain, w/ 1 wheel suspended in air. When the tow driver had me get in to help him move it, and I found the parking break depressed and the car in park. The tow-truck driver may be able to verify this. (the parking break was not completely pressed to the floor. Maybe halfway.) I have filed a report with Nissan. I don¿T yet know what, if anything, the collision ctr mechanics will find. Contact stated she had minor bruises on her right ankle and heel.

While the vehicle was in motion driving straight at approximately 30 miles per hour, at 7:52am on university blvd at highway 75, the automatic emergency braking system engaged for no reason causing the vehicles brakes to inappropriately engage. This was a failure of the automatic emergency braking system due to the random nature and the fact there was no hazard or condition requiring the automatic emergency braking to become engaged. This is not the first time this has happened and at least one previous safety complaint has been entered. This failure of the automatic emergency braking system do cause the vehicle to stop and is a very serious safety concern.

Faulty aeb. Warning flashes on dashboard constantly. Sensor has been replaced twice and problem still persists. I also had an instance where my car came to almost a complete stop. Most times, I¿M driving on the highway going approximately 50-60 mph with no cars around, no fog. Light will start blinking then stop. Then start blinking again.

Automatic front braking (afb) system continues to inappropriately engage even after recall updates were completed at a Nissan dealership. When driving the car will, without justification (ie there are no obsticals in front of car) automatically apply the breaks. After the update it happened to me while driving in the rain, my toddler was in the car, luckily I did not lose control of the car. This is a known issue and Nissan has failed to correct it. Nissan said afb cannot be permanently disabled and said it is now driver's responsibility to manually turn it off each time the car is started.

My car would disruptively break in its own, when I first bought this car, the safety system break light stayed on, St the time I didn¿T know what that was nor did anybody was able to explain, I took it in to find out there was damage wires and electrical issues and. Dead rat, the brakes also squeaked unusually at times, they also mentioned this was normal and brakes were new, with a lot of complaints and mis informed information I ended up being stuck buying this car, I would consider this a lemon issue but the head department of enterprise where I bought the car took car and reinsured uit was all good to go and fixed, I also bought extra warranty, but shortly after down the road I have had unusual experiences with my car braking in traffic and then releasing very disruptively which had even caused me to lose handle along with my new born, various of times I had concerns U til one day I was slowing down at a light the car brakes very disruptively the car behind me a mother in her prius with her two children slammed into my car, this brake system is not safe. It's causing more issues and hazard accidents then safety.. I am very very sadly in happy customer as I don¿T feel safe to drive and again this needs to be a recall and I want out of this car Z

At random times the ¿automatic emergency braking¿ system automatically slams on brakes. The vehicle was being driven at about 35-40 mph on a city/county road. We were driving straight, it was dark with no street lights and no other cars or objects on the road. It slams on the bakes so fast that the car almost dies and turns off. Nissan recently sent us a letter telling us to come in for an ¿update¿. this is serious safety issue and will likely cause an accident. This issue has happened to us at least 4 times in the last 6 months.

On the street we use to leave our neighborhood, there is one section of the cement that is a little taller than the one before it. intermittently, the automatic breaking will be set off in this spot for no reason.  it is alarming!  we are also worried it will happen on a busy street and cause an accident.
