After driving for a while, the engine stops. After waiting for about 15 minutes it will start again and run for awhile then it stops again. The mechanic can't figure out what is wrong. Does anyone know what the problem is so we can get it fixed?

Silhouette 3800

This just started, while driving, when you let up on the gas to make a turn or slow down for a stop street the engine just quits. It will turn over, but the engine will not start. I can hear the fuel pump start when you turn the Key on. If you let it sit for a couple minutes the engine will fire right up. Any clue to why the engine is acting like this.
