Strut towers are corroded to the point you can see through the top off the strut tower halfway around the top. There is numerous complaints of this and if I had not been informed of this it would have lead to a failure of the strut support. I am concerned that this has not been addressed previously. I called the manufacture and they are aware of the problem although they are not willing to repair it at their costs. Please just do a search of the internet. You will find this is a issue that requires immediate attention in order to save lives or injuries.

: the contact stated the vehicle would not transition to a higher gear and would not reach a speed of more than 5mph. The vehicle was towed to a service dealer who replaced the transmission. The day the transmission was repaired the vehicle began to make a clicking sound and was taken to a local mechanic who determined the axel needed to be replaced. Last week, while driving 35pmh on an exit ramp, a loud popping noise was heard. After stopping at a stop sign, the vehicle failed to move forward while the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle was towed to a local repair shop where the driver side tie rod end was replaced.

On my 1997 Plymouth mini van a crack has occured on the left front strut tower. This is the only place on the van that has rusted. I have had the van in for service serveral times for front end alignments and the last time for a safety inspection. It took my husband pointing thisout to the dealership before they noticed it. They imediately said it was a safety concern! but do not want to cover the repair. Upon further investigation we found that my brothers 1998 minivan has the exact same defect. I cant believe that we are the only two" when I checked your site other are listed for cosmetic rust in this location and clunking sounds"
