Bonneville SLE 3.8L

Transmission suddenly failed, no indicated warning signs. Was quoted over $2k to fix by AAMCO transmissions, purchased a used unit from scrap yard for $425, had AAMCO replace it for $825, didn't have any problems with tranny on this car since. But had plenty of other problems with this car (no start due to security system lock out $500 to fix, sudden engine shut down with no start condition) and eventually dumped the car.

Hvae had four transmissions since 2000. Were told there is a problem with the tranny that came out for that vehicle and that it should have been recalled but was not.

Bonneville SSEi 3.8L

Can't believe a transmission would drop 3rd and 4th gear after 60000 miles of city female driving. And you wonder why people buy Japanese!
