Bonneville LX 4.0L

Transmission slips at times. Must be light on the gas pedal and let it engage easily. Been driving like this for some time. Actually seems to be slipping less now and not sure why. I had it serviced at one point, but didn't seem to make a difference. Now it is better with slipping, but making a bit of a high pitched whirring sound when I go around corners? Not sure if that is tranny or not.

Bonneville Ssei 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

Almost every time im at a stop light or sign, I press on the gas to go and car will make a loud clank that makes the whole car jerk. I have to very slowly and carefully start to drive. This problem causes me to almost get into many car accidents when having to cross lanes of traffic.
