We have had continuous problems with this vehicle. The door panels peeled off the two rear doors and were replaced, the tire pressure light continually comes on, the hinges on the driver door keep getting stuck and sometimes the door won't even shut, it will not shift into first gear, and now the rotors/brakes are out. It is currently in the shop again. We take it monthly if not more often. This is certainly a burden. The service department is not informative. They don't explain why these things happen nor do they tell us if they have ordered parts for the vehicle. We get cards in the mail when the parts are in and we must schedule yet another trip to the dealership. The vehicle is completely unreliable. The brake issue is extremely scary when we only have 16,000 miles on the vehicle. Never before have I owned such a lemon. This is our second brand new car and the other has had zero problems and it is a 1998 Malibu with almost 60,000 miles. This makes no sense and Pontiac is doing little to resolve these issues.

I bought this vehicle with 13, 000 miles on it. Since I bought this car I have experience problems with my braking systems. While braking sometimes the car seem to not want to stop while braking on a down slope it shakes. I've change my brakes three times since I bought this vehicle. Mossy motor change the brakes and rotors in September, 2000 change the front rotors which were warpped and replaced the rotros and pads per bulleton. I'm still experiencing problems with this. I brought the vehicle back to mossy twice since they change it and they said that they see nothing wrong. However I still experience problems. I ask other folks who own the same type of vehicle theyr are experience the same.. this is dangerous. I am also experience problems with left front and right front windo inop regulators which had to be changed. Battery replacement and still experience problems with that. Back rear lights... this vehicle has had major problems. Please tell me what I can do.

The brakes and rotors have been replaced after approximately 3,000 miles due to warping. We have had the problem fixed 4 times and were told that the last 2 sets of brakes and rotors would fix the problem. We are now in the process of going to arbitration to get out of our lease. We will never buy another GM car again. GM seems to think the problem exists due to our location and the way we drive. After reviewing this page, I see that our problem has affected numberous consumers just like us. How can it be resolved?

Warped rotors replaced twice under warranty needed again before 30,000 miles and dealership refuses to fix saying warrenty has run out. Bulletin exists saying that there is a problem and recommending replacement parts but not recall or payment method exits as yet. Currently anything after two replacements is blamed on driver. I have heard and seen multiple complaints on this subject but aa yet can not get satisfaction even after contacting GM and dealership.

Front end pulls to the left when when passing, front in shakes at times, dealer replaced brakes, ABS system, tires, wheels, did alinements and told us that it is normal for this car to pull to the left when passing. We told them that when this happens, we feel that it could cause the driver to lose control and go into on coming traffic. They said they have done everything possible and we are still having problems with the front end. Currently the brakes started making noise when we turn the car to the left. The dealer says we will have to pay for this problem since our warrenty has expired. We feel that there is a major problem with the design of the front end system including the ABS brake system, the low traction system and front end suspension. We are currently looking for options to deal with this very hazzardly problem. Thank you.

11/15/1999 involved in 25 to 30 mph frontal collision, airbags did not deploy, resulting in 2 injuries, Pontiac contacted several times and each time given different answers as to why the air bags did not deploy. First reason given was it liked a fraction of an inch to deployment, 2nd time pontia contacted they advised that it wasnt at fast enough speed for deployment, 3rd time contacted Pontiac advised that I should be glad that the airbags did not deploy,4th time contacted Pontiac advised that car airbags do not deploy when other vehicle is pick-up size or larger the dealership and the body shop where I had vehicle repaired both advised that the air bags should has deployed on impact. Have had the brakes rotors turned once and 2 months. Now have to get new brakes on vehicle.
