I was taking my little boy to karate and as I was stopping at a red light my brakes went to the floor. I didn't know why at first but just pumped them until they had pressure. By the time I got home my brake light was on. I checked the fluid and it was empty...when my husband got home he changed out my brakes and added more fluid & still didnt know what caused it. While he is bleeding it I see it squirting out from under the car. He pulled my brake line off and there a small hole in it where a bolt had rubbed through it. We couldn't find one that was compatible so we bought a compression fitting and cut the line where the hole was and removed the hole then used the compression fitting to put it back together... then about a year later we were driving from houston to austin and the brakes went down to the floor again. We pulled into advance auto parts in austin and looked at the line and another hole in a different spot so we did the same thing and went on..then just about 5 months ago I'm on my way from karate with my little boy stopped at the store and when I got back in the car my brake light was on again.. went to auto zone put brake fluid in it to get home & thought everything was fine. We were supposed to go to my dads in new braunfels - my husband gets in driving down the road the brakes go to the floor again.. I call my dad tell him we aren't coming. He said use your emergency brake and your brakes only when you absolutely need to - that's what we did... We got to my dads & he pulled off the line...I'll be damned, another hole...still cant find one to fit it...My dad did the same thing we did to fix it...So far its still holding up but they need to make an after market part that will fit both ends where it screws in. They are different sizes and the only one they make are the same size...what else can I do?
