This seems to be a vary common problem with Pontiac solstice and Saturn Sky. I had never had a passenger that weights more than 160 pounds and always had taken care of my car. When I took my car to the dealership I was told that they will have to replaced the entire sensor pad and wiring to the passenger air bag. When I told the repair representative that I have read that this problem is vary common on this car He told me that if I wan it to own a car like this I will have to get used to pay.

Since this is clearly a design problem from the GM engineers why I have to spend almost $1000 more to fix something that should be GM responsibility for selling a defective car.

And now I am afraid to have a passenger since if I have a accident the airbags will not work.

dic service air bag message. passenger side off

After doing some research it seems there are many complaints regarding this issue. The only responsible thing for the manufacturer to do is a recall. I am the original owner car is always garaged and never driven in the winter. It's a 2008 with less than 47000 miles.
