A strong odor of gasoline coming from rear of car while running and after turned off. Trouble starting car on first turn of the key. Took to dealer and there was a crack in the fuel pump and had to be replaced. The dealer said as soon as we took it to be assessed it was either the gas tank or fuel pump and could be very costly to fix. If the dealers are aware of this issue why has there not been a recall for this" isn't this a safety issue? luckily I have the extended warranty because it was over 800 dollars to fix. I have seen numerous complaints about this problem, so why have the parts not been recalled"

Could smell gasoline fumes on outside of vehicle after use. After checking online, found out others had a problem with the fuel pump outlet cracking. Removed the tank and found the discharge fitting on the fuel pump was cracked. I cannot believe something as serious as this has not been addressed with a recall. When I touch the discharge line the outlet fitting completely broke off. This is an extreme fire hazard.
