It feels like the car is unsafe. The wheel will for no apparent reason jerk one way or the other. It may be due to a small imperfection in the road, it could be due to wind or who knows what. This is only a problem at highway speeds, but that is where you want it to be firm and safe.

Update from Oct 22, 2019: This is definitely a lane assist issue, thank you to the person who wrote to me. I turned off the lane assist and it drives fine. Why would you have the lane assist push you back into a lane rather than just notify you that you crossed it? What if there were a big truck crowding you next to you and that is why you crossed?

I bought Subaru Ascent in July 2018. It is a great SUV but you get tired driving it on highway because of its steering. Its too sensitive and its hard to keep it in lane. With a little movement on steering wheel, car reacts too much. You can not drive it with ease. If Subaru does not fix it, it will never become the best or top selling SUV.
