I drove my 1995 Subaru Impreza to the gas station (just a few miles up the road); turned the car completely off. I pulled the release to open the gas door. After I began to unscrew the gas cap (I did not get the cap completely off) a ball of fire came out of the gas tank around the gas cap. The fire ball lasted for 5 to 10 seconds then died out on its own. I had the car towed to the dealership. They were unable to find anything wrong.
