We purchased this Subaru Outback 3.6 liter new in April 2015 , had a 2011 3.6 liter previously, was totaled by a reckless red light runner lady in February 2015 , it didn't have the new features that are incorporated on the new one, which all work well except the SRVD , blind spot , EYE sight system, it has failed intermittently since leaving the dealership, illuminates on dash on occasion while backing up " SRVD disabled " which shuts down the entire safety feature, it will reset when ignition is turned off, we don't think it is necessary to have to do this if this feature operates as it should, took it back to selling dealer 07/28 /15 for what was called Campaign WQS54 ; had previously received no less than 6 e-mails and 6 recall letters ; this did not fix the problem , Vince the service writer at our dealership has been wanting me to bring it in when this failure occurs, the engine can't be turned off or it will reset , noted in past week this has happened 2 times while backing up, there was nothing behind or near vehicle , asked if the error code would be recorded in the computer, no one knows, also 3 dealerships that I have contacted have no idea how to fix it , has done this on an average of 2-3 a month ; am sure this has happened to others who haven't complained .
