I was so excited to get this car I’ve dreamed of getting this car... now I’ve gotten to a place where it’s in my budget and I find one with low miles 12888 and pull the trigger on it. It was fine for two weeks then I noticed the boost 8psi wasn’t hitting target of 14.7. Took it into one of the nearest dealer I could find for warranty repair and they didn’t even know what was wrong for two weeks. They had a service engineer come out and say that #4 cylinder has ringland failure. So we’re replacing the shortblock the kicker is the dealer won’t take apart the shortblock to confirm their suspicions. I think their firing a parts cannon to fix it because they have no clue what’s wrong. They also set themselves up to wiggle out of the warranty saying things like it looks like the ecu has been flashed and the engine looks like it has been modified. None of these statements are verifiable by the owner their just saying it to protect themselves. I might be done with Subaru. I really want this car though.
