A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

This is now the second time my car ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN when we were attempting to slow down. This time we were in heavy traffic and approaching a stop light at 5 miles per hour. Suddenly instead of stopping, the car "gunned it" and lurched forward! My husband had to brake to avoid a collision. Only because of my husband's good reflexes and attentiveness, we avoided hitting the car in front of us! But this is a very serious, life-threatening issue! We do not believe our car is safe to drive, and it is only 5 months old!

The rest of this is a repeat of what I wrote about the incident 2 days ago when this happened:

We have reported this to Tesla, who does not appear to be taking the issue seriously. They told us to bring the car in for service (next available appointment a week away.) But we believe the car is not safe to drive.

There have been several very serious accidents (we later learned) caused by unintended acceleration into solid objects such as buildings and other cars. Why isn't Tesla saying "Don't drive the car until we can get to the bottom of this. We will send a tow truck, and give you a loaner to drive." Instead, they told us that if we wanted it towed, we would have to pay for it ourselves. If Tesla finds something wrong after it gets to the service center, they will reimburse you.” And "feel free to use Uber, public transportation, or rent a car at your own expense."

We know that Tesla will not find anything wrong with our car, because we have read that when sued, Tesla has repeatedly blamed the owners for pressing the accelerator, when clearly the car accelerated itself! The problem is their own software, and the problem has been going on for years. Tesla knows about it, but has not done anything to fix it!

I bought my Tesla, because they told me the car will stop itself if it detects you are about to hit something. But instead, the car is CAUSING accidents! My Model 3 Tesla is only 5 months old! I am so upset! I bought this car because Elon Musk said it is "the safest car on the planet!" But now I see that it is so unsafe that I cannot even dare drive it.
