Back again with the Lead Acid Battery Premature failure. When this happens the vehicle is dead, locked out of car, and un-drivable. There were ZERO warning messages prior days from the car of any problems. Then it just wouldn't unlock or turn on. Tesla said they would send out a "mobile service technician" to replace the 12V Lead Acid battery. Tesla cancelled the appointment. I ended up driving in a different vehicle 1 hour to their service center to be charge $100 for the replacement 12V battery. My research found that a 12V battery should last closer to 5 years for a garage parked vehicle in the mild climate of Hawaii. Expect your Lead-Acid equipped Tesla to need 12V battery replacement every 2 years.
