Unless shut off completely, the cruise control sometimes does not engage on next use. Dealer said it was a software problem and VW was working on an update. So far I haven't heard anything and wound up a second time at a different dealer and they could find nothing wrong. I was told to avoid this issue, shut off cruise control completely when shutting down car, then engage upon next use.
