Was driving along Hwy 20 in the North Cascades with the family. EPC light came on, and accelerator stopped responding. Able to pull over. Ultimately could only limp along into a parking space. Took some time to make some phone calls and see about a tow truck with AAA (not hopeful, given it was Memorial Day Monday). Decided to simply try the engine again and it started up without the EPC light. Was able to drive again up to 50mph on a highway without issue. Ultimately drove 180mi home over a mountain pass without issue, never saw any lights come on again. Took my Atlas to my home mechanic, who I trust, who ran the codes, diagnostics, drove the car, couldn't find anything wrong. Car is still under warranty, so took it to the dealer, who found it was a failed fuel injector. Fixed it under warranty.

Been driving it for a week and I could swear it's running smoother. Fuel economy appears off the charts - usually have been getting 300mi per tank - I'm already at 317mi and the estimated range is still 170mi! Only at 2/3 of a tank right now. Seems unreal. Well...

You will see I will file another complaint soon, as the same issue happened to me just today, except today, no limping. Engine would turn over but would not start. EPC and Engine lights on. Towed it to the dealer again. TBD.
