Takata recall. I was informed many months ago that my car is affected by the takata air bag recall. The defect states that if I am in an accident the inflation mechanism can rupture and kill or seriously injure the driver. Every time I check with my dealer I'm told no fix is available. This is unacceptable.
Takata recall I am driving my car and find out the danger of the takata airbags, and nothing can be done at this time"? it's absurd! when is this going to be rectified"

"takata recall" considering how serious this recall is, I am uncomfortable and honestly scared to even drive my car. If I am in a wreck, one even at no fault of mine, I could die from the one part of the car that is supposed to protect me" I want to know how long until my car can be serviced and this can be fixed" this is very serious and I feel like nothing is being done since I got my letter stating the recall about two months ago.
Takata recall - I've been hearing about this recall for other manufactures for the past year. I just received my notification from VW few weeks ago. I've been unable to get this recall completed due to VW not having the parts available to correct the issue. In the meantime I've heard deaths have been reported due to this defect and it doesn't seem like VW is moving fast enough to correct the issue. So, as of this correspondence I'm still taking a chance everyday and risking death, even if I get into a minor fender bender that causes the airbags to deploy.

Takata recall: I have not had a safety probelm as yet. However, I am very concerned about driving a potentially unsafe vehicle. I contact Volkswagen and requested a loaner vehicle at no charge. They declined to provide this solution. This leaves me the options of paying something I should not have to or driving an unsafe vehicle. Of note: We have a Honda CRV which is affected by this recall and the Honda dealer is providing a replacement vehicel at no charge to me. The same solution should be offered by Volkswagen.
Takata recall my car is involved in the takata airbag recall but apparently Volkswagen does not have any airbags available for replacement of my defective airbag. How long can they wait before being required to provide replacement airbags" how can I ask my wife to keep driving a car that has a defective airbag that could lead to death if deployed"
Hello, I have a 2010 VW Cc. My airbag light has come on and my horn and steering wheel controls don't work. Volkswagen does have a recall for the "clockspring" which would fix all this but my VIN is not covered under this recall even though some of the same cars and same year are covered. I called them and they said I would have to go get it fixed at a dealership and I would maybe get a refund. Since then my steering wheel light has came on and it is very hard to turn. I can't believe they wouldn't cover this. I would think airbag and horn are huge safety concerns and they already know that this parts fails. When I called Volkswagen customer service they lady could not help me at all other then saying there is another recall for the airbag but they don't have a fix yet so there's nothing they can do. I at least would like my airbag and horn to work, right? also, I asked to speak to a manager twice and both times I was put on a 10 minute hold only for her to come back and say "my manager told me to tell you" both times. No help at all. I truly hate Volkswagen and their customer service. Any help or direction would be much appreciated.
