My 2013 VW I have had no complaints about other than tire wear, but this I just found out about. My car needs a new Engine. I had been complaining about my car not running properly and the dealership said there was nothing wrong. It was not until I acted up they finally pulled the car apart to end up saying I am going to need a new motor. Now I have only had my car serviced at the dealership.

This is the first vehicle that I have ever owned that has not made it over 200k plus miles. VW has some class actions lawsuits that were settled over the engine but of course this does not include mine. I reached out to VW they denied a claim to get new motor on them. So I have a car that I really can't do anything with. I refuse to pay 10k for a new motor. I will not buy another VW product - ever again. I really will not buy from there other companies. What happened to taking ownership of your mistakes and making sure your customers are taken care of? What's the worst case scenario, we buy another VW for you looking out for your customers?

Many cars I know of have the same model had the same problem. The check engine light appears and they decided to change the engine. Still under warranty .. after changing the engine two month later I had transmission problem.

I bought the car 14 months ago and was sure that the German car is the best and the name of VW and its after sale will keep me satisfied about my investment.

I keep doing the maintenance at the approved agency in Egypt (Automotive), on time without any delay.

On the 12th of July I was driving for my vacation when I felt the engine is malfunctioning, so I went to the VW workshop in Giza but they refused to give me a report about the car case and refused to even give me a proper replacement car.

The treatment in this VW workshop in Abo Rawash was very humiliating and they left me there for 4 hours waiting for any of them to have a decision, plus they refused to let me talk to the branch manager.

Also they said they will repair the engine while I am insisting to replace the engine.

I am wondering why should I pay for a new car and get a repaired engine after one year and 32000 KM???
