Several times now when attempting to turn out into traffic my car stutters and caused me to almost get hit. Recently while driving in traffic my car stopped receiving gas and started coasting. It literally stopped working in the middle of traffic almost causing an accident with myself and child in the car.

When pumping gas, the pump will click off every few seconds as if the tank is full. It takes at least 15 minutes to fill the tank because it shuts off every few seconds. This is at any gas pump.

Volkswagen announced a recall of the fuel pump on August 16, 2017. Eight months later they do not have a remedy. This seem irresponsible of the manufacturer.

17V509 recall number on certain vehicles, there could be an interruption in electrical power to the fuel pump control module. This could result in the fuel pump running continuously, resulting in a drained battery and/or a no start condition, or cause a loss of motive power while the vehicle is in motion, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. I am very concerned for my safety in the VW recall of the fuel pump injector. Capital volkswagon in san jose wants me to continue driving the potential dangerous car until they get the parts from volkswagon. I asked for a loaner car and they will not give me one or reimburse me for one until the part comes in. This seems extremely dangerous. They claim they do not have the recall fix and therefore I need to keep driving the death trap?

There have been 3 incidents in which my vehicle suddenly, without warning shuts down (absolutely no power) while I am driving on the highway, approximately 30 mph. I was fortunate that there was significant traffic and the vehicle had enough momentum to get to the emergency lane. I placed the vehicle in park and let it sit for approximately 3 to 5 minutes. I then pushed the start button and it started without incident. I took the vehicle to riverside Volkswagen where they conducted a diagnostic check and stated there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. After informing them of the safety recall, they said there was nothing they can do and declined to provide me with a loaner vehicle. The service representative could not confirm or deny if the issues reported were related to the safety recall. I then contacted the customer relations office to request further assistance; however, they said there was nothing they can do and I had to wait until the recall was released. I do not have an alternate vehicle to use and I commute a minimum of 80 miles a day to go to work. My husband is recovering from a heart surgery and I have a 2 year old granddaughter, who are consistently inside this vehicle. I am in serious fear for my safety and that of my family's. everyday I go to work, I fear I will be rear ended and it is frustrating not knowing how long I will continue to endure this risk, as I was told the recall will be on hold for an unknown period of time. Please help!
