"takata recall" my 2014 VW Eos has had 2 major leaks that resulted in water standing in the car. I have had to use a green machine to vacuum out the water twice. The humidly was so high and the temperature in the summer resulted in 100% humidity in the car. The dealer finally got the leaks fixed and VW replaced the carpets. I am still worried about the air bags and VW will do nothing, the lady told me government (NHTSA) has not given a time line for repairs and their hands are tied. My car sets in the back yard I am reluctant to drive it. The parts are not available and the car has less than 2500 miles. I brought the car new and wasted the money you guys need to step up and get this problem resolved, VW says even with the location being in Tennessee there is still 6 more years before the airbag needs to be replaced. How many more people have to get killed or injured before you step up? I do not want to risk my life on the chance the airbag is good for 6 years. You know there is a problem force them to fix it.

Subject: Takata recall. Dear sir/madam, we own a 2014 Volkswagen Eos and received notification earlier this year about the air bags recall; however, the parts to do the repair seem to be still unavailable and our car is in the waiting list yet. As of know, unfortunately, Volkswagen has been unable to give us a date to repair our car. How is it possible that this may happen when vehicle occupants may result in serious injury or death? since the recall we have the stress of wondering if somebody is going to hit us and if the defective airbag might explode when deployed. Our car is still under warranty, as it was originally purchased in February last year (2015), we were wondering if we are entitled to a refund or some kind of compensation because we are intending to sell this car under the current recall conditions. We understand that manufacturers are required to repair, replace, or refund our car free of charge and in a reasonable amount of time, which we believe has already been exceeded. Unfortunately, the term reasonable has not been defined. How is it possible that Volkswagen (and any other manufacturer) is not obliged after a specific amount of time to refund the buyers or to provide with a substitution car until the airbags are fixed at least? I am requesting NHTSA's assistance to defend our right to a recall remedy and in general to deal with this matter as we are concerned for our safety. Thank you very much in advance. Best regards

Takata recall. I cannot believe that I have received notification that I have a part in my airbag that has the potential to kill me, but that VW has absolutely no idea when they will be able to replace it for me. If this is the case then I should be provided with a car that does not have this problem. How can I be expected to drive a car that I have been told has this potentially life threatening component. Its utterly shameful.

Takata recall received letter in the mail re: Safety recalled. Contatcted VW to request 1. termination of lease or 2. that the fix the car immediately or 3. provide me with an alternate vehicle that is safe to drive in the interrim and the overall result is that they have not been helpful at all. I am very dissatisified with the way they are handling this and I am very scared to drive this vehicle with myself or family members in it, as the letter they sent indicates this situation "may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants". I pay a lot of money to lease this vehicle and I would expect a certain level of professionalism and concern for the safety of the consumer, especially by a car manufacturer. I am very concerned for the personal well being and safety of my family and myself and am requesting assistance to deal with this matter.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen Eos. The contact stated that the dealer informed that the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 16V078000 (air bags). The contact mentioned that a recall notification was not received and was unaware of the recall prior to the dealer informing the information. The dealer and the manufacturer were unable to determine when the parts might become available and indicated that the contact was to be placed on a waiting list. In addition, the manufacturer stated that it might be longer than six months to obtain the parts for the recall repair. The contact felt that the recall had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the repair. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recall. I was told by VW that my vehicle is unsafe but there is not yet a fix for my vehicle. Must they take the lease back or do I simply not drive the vehicle and have one less car?
