Bought the car recently, for school and work. And I've done the oil changes every 5k (VW recommends every 10) with Castrol Edge full synthetic (VW recommended). When I checked the oil level 2,500 miles after, it was really low.(Lower than the minimum) So I added another quart. It's at 78,XXX ATM and just had to add another quart. My mechanic says it is not normal, but the dealer says it is normal. Either way it is not cheap having to buy extra quarts after oil changes.
