- 2002 Volkswagen Beetle Fuse Box - Explains additional wire tha needs to be replaced due to corrosion in wire to alternator where problem will return and fuse relay box will need to be replaced again. Had same issue on my 2002 Jetta and fixed it with same replacement as shown here.

Car stalls like the battery dead,The battery is brand new. Checked the fuse box on top of battery the black wire was burnt & melted the fuse box. bought new fuse box but wire still come hot after short run time. Is it the alternator or wire loose? The alternator puts out 13 to 14 volts. Were does the black wire go to? Please Help?
