The jetta loses power and does not accelerate well. It feels like it is always going to stall out. After we put gas in it jerks forward then stalls. We replaced the gas cap several times as the code kept giving emissions leak. The coil has been replaced several times, spark plugs replaced several times. Transmission has been checked, no one can figure it out. So disappointed in this car, will never buy another vw.
This was the third time my Jetta was at the dealer for the same problem in less then 30 days. Engine still sounds a little rough. Dealer claims that that is normal for this model and that they don't really know what the problem was, (losing acceleration, check engine light on and or flashing, vehicle running roughly), so per VW instruction, the spark plugs were replaced. So the new spark plugs may not have fixed the problem at all. The Jetta is being towed today for a non-working blower motor. So this is the fourth time in the shop for my Jetta in 90 days. I will be getting rid of this Jetta asap and have no intention of ever buying from this dealer or a VW again.
My wife was driving for five minutes without any problems when the EPC light turned on, car started to shake and lost power. She was scared as hell. Turned back and thankfully she could reach home. When she got home I checked the oil level, it was fine. I drove with it to see it for myself but no EPC light and everything was fine. Next day no problems while driving it. The third day at startup the engine light was on and didn't switch off. Car was shaking again. When I started to drive after reaching around 20 mph, engine light started to flash. Called VW. They told me to stop the car and call roadside assistance to be towed. At VW service they changed the ignition coil, they said it was rusty. Since then no problems.
My engine light goes on, car runs rough, then the EPC light goes on. I take it to dealer and they don't have a clue??? I'm afraid to travel too far because I don't know if I'm doing damage by driving with these lights on ???
My mechanic changed one part and the car was great for about 2 hours, then the lights came back on and the hesitating/jerking started again. I bought a VW because i thought it would be a very dependable car, boy was i wrong. I'm heading back to dealer for third time to see if they have come up with any answers to our problem. will keep u posted.
Stumbles / Hesitates no response after stopping @ traffic light or stop sign, trying to resume driving, there is no response ( not every time do not know when it will happen ) Pressing the accelerator there is no response, no sound , like car is turned off, then suddenly it responds without warning. Almost hit several times. Had done this since day one. Dealer has no fix said would notify me when & if one became available.
V W Customer Care opened case & Supervisor said it acts the way it is supposed to. CASE CLOSED
This is my second Jetta 2012 & 2013 DSG transmission. Traded 2012 in on 2013 because of this. Dealer said I would not have same problem with TDI.
Third New VW in 5 years, NEVER AGAIN
Hard to believe VW can build a car & not fix it.
