Component Failure: Airbag Light is On, No steering wheel electronic controls work including cruise control. Safety: I'm uncertain if the Airbag will deploy in the event of a crash. Dealer Confirmed: Dealer states the Steering Wheel Clock Spring requires replacement, but that it is not a part of the VW recall issued August 2015. Inspected: Hiley VW Dealership inspected the vehicle Warning Lamps: Airbag Light is currently on. Uncertain when it started since I'm the 2nd owner of the vehicle.

I was driving on the street and my check engine light popped on as I was making a turn at about 35 miles an hour my car kicked into neutral and when pressing the gas just revved the engine. I was fortunate there was no oncoming cars as I made the turn or I would have been killed. Had this happened on the highway I could of caused a major reck killing multiple people. I was fortunate and pulled over to the side and had the car towed to a mechanic. He took a look and said there was a significant leak coming from the transmission and I should take it to a VW dealership because there are a lot of recalls for this type of stuff. I had it towed to VW and they're professional mechanic said it was a hairline crack in the transmission that caused an oil leak into the electronic gearbox which caused the loss of control and power. They said there is no recall and it would be a $12,000 fix. The car has 47K original miles on it, no wrecks, and I've never missed an oil change. Had I not quickly reacted I could of caused a car accident injuring or killing myself or someone else. This is unbelievable that VW is not being held responsible for this. There is a recall for this exact problem Recall Number: 34J6 but for some reason it does no include my specific Jetta. How is that possible?

Transmission failing to go into gear when vehicle is in motion, gear will slip causing vehicle to lose gear and stop until vehicle is shut off and restarted. Problem could cause others to crash into vehicle when this happens from the rear or not have enough space or time to pull over to the emergency lane to shut off vehicle and restart all gears to proceed. Vehicle hasn-€™t been inspected and will be available for inspection upon request.

While driving at 40 mph and attempting to make a left turn, the vehicle lost power with the check engine warning light illuminated. I placed the vehicle in park for 30 seconds and attempted to restart the vehicle, it turned on but would not go into gear. I then had it towed to the dealer (mission bay Volkswagen ' (address 2205 morena blvd, san diego, ca 92110) to be diagnosed. I was informed that there was a crack in the transmission which caused oil to leak into the electrical gearbox causing it to fail. I'm the second owner and it has 47,000 original miles on it.

A year ago the vehicle would not accelerate while driving and would then come to a stop. It was taken to the dealership where they said it was a wiring issue. In the past year the vehicle will turn off when sitting in traffic or at a light. Car will not detect key fob even when new batteries have been used. Car will say no key.

The contact owns a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that there was a delay when the accelerator pedal was depressed and it would engage without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer more than three times and they indicated that this was a normal characteristic of the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure several times. The failure mileage was not available.

I continue to experience the issue outlined in complaint number [xxx]parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C (B)(6)., unsafe accelerator lag gas pedal delay no response, from my VW Jetta. I am trying to get a copy of the service bulletin, tsb#01-13-14, NHTSA#10052336. Edmunds directs you to all data diy, alldata.com, to get tsbs. All datadiy does not have my vehicle, 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, in their drop down list and as you will see in the attached email "they do not have that information in there database yet". so I asked them for the tsb 01-13-14, aka NHTSA id 10052336, from the 2012 Jetta database, since this tsb# seems to be associated with most 2008-2013 models of VW Jetta, golf, rabbit, beetle, eos, cc, passat, gti, R32, tiguan, touareg and the 2011 touareg hybrid. According to the email reply from alldatadiy there is no such service bulletin. When do they sync with your system? shouldn't they have this service bulletin. Attached email: From alldata support for log id:15679419 1 message support@alldata.com tue, Sep 3, 2013 at 1:30 pm to: [xxx] referring to our call log id:15679419 thank you for choosing alldatadiy.com unfortunately, the information you requested is not available in our database. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you, alldatadiy support team ****************************************************************************************** thank you for getting back to me. I am looking one specific service bulletin NHTSA id 10052336 otherwise referred to as service bulletin 01-13-14 I know that this same service bulletin exists for the 2012 Jetta. Is it possible to just get a copy of the one service bulletin. How much would that cost. Thank you so much.

I have had multiple experiences as outlined in complaint id 10535696. I have an open case with VW Corp, case number 130565794. I have asked for the NHTSA service bulletin 100552336, service to be performed on my car, as I continue to have near accident misses due to the misfire (which happens when the ac is on) and the non-responsive gas petal (when the ac is off). VW Corp is trying not to acknowledge your service bulletin and refuses to perform the service to my car. They stated that they are not aware of the contents of the service bulletin. I have informed them and have documented on my service invoice the service bulletin number and my complaint number. So if they were not aware before, they are now, but still deny me the service outlined in your service bulletin id 100552336. They have had my car in their possession since the 23rd, this is my second visit and I now have a case open with VW Corp (see case number above). I continue to be unable to safely maneuver the vehicle in emergency and non-emergency driving situations.

I was trying to merge onto highway traffic and when I pushed on the accelerator the car was unresponsive. It created an unsafe situation where I had to slam on the brakes and let the traffic pass by, then put the car in manual shift so that I could accelerate enough to merge with traffic. The inability to control the speed of the vehicle due to no response from the engine happens usually around speeds of 40 miles an hour. I have noticed that the car will be in 6 gear at very low speeds and fails to down shift when the gas is pressed. This results in a lose of power and does not allow me to safely maneuver the vehicle in emergency and non-emergency situations.
