This is the second time the same problem has happened. After attendant filed gas tank while shutting the door the cover came right off in his hand. In one year it has cost me over $500.00, just for an exterior piece of the car. Volkswagen doesn't care they just keep sending worthless information about it. Dealer is totally unhelpful. Keep making excuses. Never a solution

fuel door breaks off

Door pops open and blows right off. There are tiny little clips that hold it on and a little wind or a car wash and the door comes right off. it cost $235.00 to replace the door. Dealer told me it was faulty design and it happens all the time. Best advise is don't wash in a car wash only wash by hand. Tough to do in winter. Filed a complaint with Volkswagon (Pete Nardoni) After speaking with two customer satisfaction people Pete Nardoni finally said to me "I don't expect you to be happy with the car." Boy was he right.
