Jetta Hybrid

  • Automatic transmission
  • 67,000 miles

Doesn't make sense that the transmission would need to be replaced with only 67,000 miles. Not covered under warranty and was not one of the cars listed in the recall. Not sure if we will get it fixed. Volkswagen is not accepting any responsibility for the problem.

Jetta Hybrid Highline 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,642 miles

Bought this vehicle with 81256kms. Picked it up Wednesday. On Sunday a yellow hybrid(!) light came on, did a u-turn, and parked. Then it went off. Took it to work, Monday & Tuesday. Leaving work Tuesday, the hybrid wouldn't work. if I stopped with it in drive, the engine would run about 3 seconds, then turn off for about 3 seconds, repetitively, until start driving, then would be strictly engine. If in park, engine would be constant. Press e-mode, it would say it was unavailable. I took directly to dealer Tuesday afternoon. They diagnosed it Wednesday, it was the TRANSMISSION $6000!!! They let me trade/exchange it straight across the board, for something of equal value of what I had purchased the hybrid for. So I chose a diesel. Never again in my life will I buy a hybrid!!! 6 days was enough!
