Consumer had to replace brakes every 6000 miles, and she thought this was a problem because for the same reason Volkswagen issued recall 99V131001. But was told that this vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN.
Recall # 99V131000 VW/brake booster; dealer does not have parts to correct recall. Owner received recall notice on October 6, 1999. Owner has contacted two dealerships. Owner has also contacted the manufacturer about 6 or 7 times, and received no satisfaction.
