I have had too many problems to mention. It has been towed 10 times in the last 4 years. Check engine light always goes on, coil recall, oil pan issues, air flow system problems, sensory problems, premature timing belt wearing that snapped while driving which broke valves to engine.4000 to fix....these cars are worthless

Passat 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission

Beware, My son bought one of these fantastic nightmare cars. They failed to tell him that at about 65,000 and 75,000 miles the timing belt (one a belt the other a chain tensioner) will need replaced whether it breaks or not. If you do not change it, IT WILL BREAK. Trust me. It is expensive. So far we have put $500.00 down when they decide to finish the job, because engine jobs are done last, we will owe another $1300. Not to mention almost $800. in rental fees. They have it since before Feb. 20 and today is March 29,2008. VanessaPa
